Beyond Academia
Welcome to this space — a quieter, more personal corner of my website. If my homepage gives you a sense of my academic journey, this page is where I share some of the experiences and reflections that exist alongside it.
Beyond research, there are walks, books, songs, games, conversations, travels, photographs, ordinary days, and small memories that quietly shape who I am. They may not appear on a CV, but they are part of the life that shapes me.
Here, I collect fragments of that life: personal essays, reflections, hobbies, and memories — not as a polished portfolio, but as a growing personal space for how I live, learn, reflect, and remember.
Why Beyond Academia?
You may wonder why an academic homepage has a page like this. Many academic websites are built around research interests, publications, projects, awards, and professional milestones — and for good reason. These are important parts of academic life.
But I have always felt that they are not the whole story. A person is also shaped by the places they have been, the books they read, the people they meet, the hobbies they return to, the questions they carry, and the quiet moments that often remain unseen.
I call this page Beyond Academia because I want to record and share the parts of myself that exist beyond academic work. Not because they are separate from who I am as a student or researcher, but because they are part of the same life — the experiences from which curiosity, patience, creativity, and care can grow.

More Writing
I think of this page as a growing personal collection rather than a finished profile. You can find all published essays and reflections in the Blog.
Personal Philosophy
I have long been inspired by these lines. They remind me why I continue to learn, to strive, and to reflect on the kind of person I wish to become.
To ordain conscience for Heaven and Earth.
To secure life and fortune for the people.
To continue lost teachings for past sages.
To establish peace for all future generations.
A Small Closing Note
If my story can be remembered by one more person, I have lived one more life.
Perhaps that is one reason I keep this space — not to make every moment significant, but to remember that ordinary days are worth keeping too.
If you are reading this now, thank you for being here. Perhaps one day we will meet at a conference, share a conversation over coffee, exchange ideas, or simply cross paths somewhere along the way.
— Through all the dawns and dusks ahead, may we continue walking toward the light.
